Bayelsa Guber Election: Southern Ijaw, Ekeremor More Vulnerable And Susceptible To Electoral Related Violence - Dr Nwambu Gabriel

A group of Civil Society Organisations under the auspices of Centre for Credible Leadership & Citizens Awareness has classified areas like Southern Ijaw, Ekeremor of Bayelsa State as flash point as some individuals are still planning to perpetrate Electoral violence in the areas.

Addressing the media during the Civil Society Roundtable on Bayelsa and Kogi State Gubernatorial Elections on Thursday, 3rd October, 2019 in Abuja, the Director General of Centre for Credible Leadership & Citizens Awareness, Dr Nwambu Gabriel also called on INEC to use the Kogi and Bayelsa State Governorship Elections respectively, to correct the mistakes made in the 2019 General Elections.

“The difficult terrain further makes some of these flash points even more vulnerable and susceptible to electoral related violence, Dr Gabriel said.

Among the issues discussed includes electoral violence, voters apathy, ballot box snatching, thuggery and falsification of elections result.

Other participants who spoke at the roundtable include Bafunso Tunde of Justice & Equity Organization; Funmilayo Akala of United Peace Foundation; Olatunji Abayomi of Entrepreneurship & Support Initiative; Grace Okonkwo of Youth Initiative and Peter Nwokolo, Coordinator of Centre for Credible Leadership & Citizens Awareness.

Businessman Accuses Police DIG, CP Of Fraud, Demands Investigation

Engineer Kenneth Ndubisi Amadi has petitioned the Police Service Commission against DIG Anthony Ogbizi (DIG FCID) and DCP Augustine Sanomi (CP Legal) over the withdrawal of charges between Inspector General of Police and Chika Ikemga, Suraj Yakubu and Eunisell Chemicals Limited and the filling of charge between FRN Vs Kenneth Ndubisi Amadi & IDID Nigeria Limited.
